The work opens with the artist standing still. A long needle sticks out from her chest. She then opens her arms in embrace inviting the spectators to come closer. This silent gesture is addressed to one person at a time. Everyone can take time and decide for themselves how close they want to be to the artist.
One prefers eye contact from a distance, another one comes closer and holds her hands, and others are up to share an embrace. Through a series of intimate and intense interactions unfolding differently with every person, the artist questions whether closeness always implies becoming vulnerable.
