Feminae Sonantes is a site-specific work exploring the narratives and soundscapes of women living in Zvizzhi, a small village in the West of Russia. The composition features the monologues of 4 protagonists sharing about domestic labour, rural life, the next harvest and more.

The testimonials and field recordings are processed and organized using the cut - up technique that mixes up sounds of the landscape, its inhabitants and things it contains. Abstract and fragmented, the piece unfolds as a polyphonic metanarrative connecting the stories from the village's past, present and future.
