Kozmanidze's exploration of vocality is a lifelong engagement. Beginning with the practice of singing and songwriting, it evolved through her endeavors in contemporary art, culminating in singing ‘backwards’—an extended vocal technique she developed to transform lyrical singing into a radical vocal experiment. Her performance Self-reversing, which features this technique, earned her the Performative Prize from the MAXXI Foundation in Rome (2023).
Kozmanidze gives workshops on somatic movement and 'backwards' singing. Her work has been presented internationally as part of the E.ART.H Prize Exhibition, Verona (2024), Performative Festival by MAXXI, L'Aquila (2023), Madness Festival by Disruption Network Lab, Berlin (2022), Malá Inventura Festival, Prague (2019), Satellite Art Show, Miami Art Fair, Miami (2016) and more.
Currently, Kozmanidze is based in Pescara, Italy where she serves as a Chair of the Board of the NGO Campo Ife and collaborates with the farm and fermentation lab Orti Geometrici, organizations which adopt regenerative ways of nature-cultural production in rural areas. Lately, she has been working on her first short film and producing her debut music album, both to be released in 2026.
